10 things I can't stand in a friend, as it turns out:
1. Those that act like they know me (not a clue)
2. Those that act like they know it all (likewise)
3. Unsolicited advice
4. Argumentative pretentious anyone other than me
5. Blatant disregard for my time and personal space
6. Talking down to people that have real jobs
7. Being cheap, loud and obnoxious
8. Pretending to be drunk when you're not
9. Being spoiled rotten and bored silly
10. Being absolutely oblivious to life outside your own sorry little world

Having friend problems?
I think it is difficult as adults to maintain friendships. Sometimes I prefer acquaintances. I know that is awful, but it is tiresome sometimes as you have detailed.

Any two of those would disqualify a "friend" I think. You have good insight.
tiresome is right..I'm more in tune with my virtual friends then with real ones..Considering how drastically my lifestyle changed with last divorce (I guess I dropped a bracket down in a social status :)), its no wonder I can't stomach most of my girlfriends that now really seem like arrogant airheads with too much money and time to burn. I've grown a lot but I'm still too much of a material girl, and just can't find peace where I am, I don't belong with the old crowd but have no time or energy to get new one..plus I have a fragile ego and I can be pretty impossible myself :) Tough. Better stick to blogging :)
