Well, I don't. I'd rather go anywhere BUT there now, but its not a choice..I'll be flying out in 2-3 weeks, and my stomach turns just thinking about it..This really is a dead city, all euro-charm on the outside, all decay and crime on the inside..Honestly, I felt safer in NY's Central Park at midnight then hailing a cab in SPB at noon..

Yeah, crime and decay that's no substance at all.
But maybe you will get something from the experience.

it is surreal..I'm just not into surreal now :) I can't help but love it, and at the same time it scares the shit out of me -- after years of living abroad I'm vulnerable and clueless by local standards..
Yeah, I'll get something out of it allright, a concussion, most likely :)
