Hey-
You know I am a mom too...
So some unsolicited advice....
I never went by the book, and tried not to make a big deal, but that's me. I hate parenting books- some folks like them.
Here's some widsom of mine: if she won't be doing it at 13, 18, 30 ...I let it slide.
I worried about teeth, still do, so I would brush and pushed water at night in bottle.
I don't put up with disrespect, but she's little...provide alternatives..sippy cups. And I've learned children are unique sensitive creatures, roll with it. Trust your mom instincts.

I've been trying to get her to say "Veronika", I'm still waiting :) But she pointed to this pic today and said "Nika". I'll take it :)
Nina -- thank you, I know you're a mom too :) I just thought Mamma's experience with terrible twos is more recent :) I DO appreciate the advice, and that you're thinking of me. Agree with you 100% on parenting books. I hit some marks and I missed some, but I am concerned about the teeth and she plays with the toothbrush but I'd have to restraint her to actually brush..I guess I'll have to, anyways. Cups -- I do all kinds, sippy cups, straw cups, plain cups..if its milk or juice she'll take a sip and drop it. Tried water in the bottle at night -- god, was she mad..:)..doesn't drink enough fluids during the day and I don't know how to make her. She gets hers at night :) I know this won't be a problem 5 years from now..
I like Nina's advice. She is little. Sometimes I believe the advice you get from pediatrician's is made for the truly stoopid. Follow your instincts. xo
