Since I first saw "Rivers and tides" I am forever hooked on his work, himself, his increadible nowadays gift of looking and SEEING. Pure, magestic, raw. LIFE. IS. BEAUTIFUL.
"Here lies, a morbidus of certain nutrix kind, expired untimely, though of restless mind, she was, alas, a victim of an artist's life."

I agree. I read the wiki entry, I had not heard of him. I thought that was glas, but it must be ice. His works are temporary? Like seasons!?

it IS ice. his works are trully unique, he's one of those lucky people that never lost a kind of touch with nature that we all have when we're five..and what he does with bare hands and a few sticks and stones is striking and entirely unexpected..That documentary is a must see for any frazzled urbanate, it's a revelation and a great therapy :) I once planned an entire trip around his exhibit in NY (a very rare chance to see his installations live) -- it was really powerfull.
